We are excited to welcome Rabbi David Helfand and his family to meet the Shaare Torah community, January 24-26th.  The weekend is full of events, most of which are open to everyone.  A few will be geared towards specific demographic groups to facilitate interaction on a smaller scale.  Please find one or two that best fit you, your family, and your schedule.  Use this form to preregister to help us determine set up, food, and how best to plan for meaningful interactions.  Please don't hesitate to reach out to Meredith and Shira at rabbisearch@shaaretorah.org with any questions. 

Friday, January 24th

9:30 AM - Shabbat Sing with our preschoolers and their families at Shaare Torah 

10:00 AM - Q&A for parents of preschoolers following Shabbat Sing at Shaare Torah

These events are open to all families with preschool aged children.
 

Saturday, January 25th

9:30 AM - Shabbat Services at Shaare Torah

12:00 PM - Kiddush Lunch following Shabbat Services

All are always welcome to join us for services.  Registration helps us plan for an appropriate amount of seating and food for lunch.

1:00 PM - Q&A with Rabbi Helfand at Shaare Torah

4:30 PM - Teen Program for 8th - 12th grade 

6:00 PM - PJ Havdalah - Our annual PJ Havdalah is for families with children ages 5 and younger (older siblings are of course welcome!). Join us for breakfast for dinner, crafts, and of course storytime! Come in PJs! $5 per person, $20 family max.

*8:00 AM - Minyan, coffee, light breakfast & teaching 
All are welcome to study with Rabbi Helfand on a topic of his choosing after morning Minyan and before he visits with our Religious School classes.  
*Please note that this is different from our regular Minyan time.


9:15 AM - Q&A for parents of Nesiyah Students 
Please note that Religious School begins at the regularly scheduled time of 9:00 AM

We are very excited to welcome Rabbi David Helfand and his family to Shaare Torah.  This is a wonderful opportunity to meet Rabbi Helfand, learn from him, and share in a meaningful Shabbat together.  To make this visit as warm and welcoming as possible, we are seeking your support to help cover the associated costs, which include:
