After 10 years as a speechwriter for Hillary Clinton and then for the Obamas, Sarah Hurwitz was ready for a new challenge, setting her sights on writing a book. No one was more surprised than she when that decision led her to write a book about Judaism, a book that chronicles her personal journey of rediscovery of the beauty and relevance of Judaism. Most recently, after visiting Hillels at campuses across the country, she wrote “To Jewish College Students Who Are Scared,” a letter acknowledging their fear and expressing admiration for their courage in standing up to antisemitism.
